A safeword is not his power over you; it is your insurance. Without it you work blind, and what you take for submission may turn out to be endurance at its limit.

One word, short, from another world — “pineapple”, the name of a city, anything he would never say in a scene by accident. “No”, “enough”, “please” cannot be safewords: he says them all the time — and they are exactly what turns you on. When his mouth is busy — a hand signal: three taps of the palm on anything, or an object he drops.
