How to Guide Your Husband Toward Compersion

How to Guide Your Husband Toward Compersion

Your sexual freedom is not a metaphor and not a game; it follows directly from who you are to each other. He submits — in life and in bed; you dominate — which means you are the one who decides whose desire in this pair is limited and whose is not. His is limited: he is locked, his release happens only with your permission, and that submission is exactly where his pleasure comes from. Yours is limited by nothing, because above a Mistress there is no one who could limit it. Freedom doesn’t come in a size called “a little”: either permission is asked of you, or by you. A flirt, a date, a massage that goes further, a lover — if you ever want one — all of it is your right, not your duty: you can go years without using it and still be free.

What matters is that he knows you can, and that knowledge keeps him on his knees more firmly than any order.

If anything stops you from accepting this, it isn’t him — it’s the arithmetic that was sewn into you. A man with a long list of women is a hero; people applaud. A woman with the same list is a slut, a whore. The same number, two different words, and both were coined by the one who profits from you counting yours while he never counts his. You still carry that table in your head and quietly feel ashamed where he would brag. Throw it out and look at who in your pair now wears the cage and who keeps the count. Your list is neither a sin nor a feat — it’s simply your life; his list is closed, and you are the one who closed it. For men it was called experience. Now experience is what yours is called — it just happens in front of him.

Meanwhile, the freedom is yours alone. He doesn’t need another kind—he has his goddess, and all his desire belongs to you. He won’t stray, and not because of the lock — the lock comes second. First, straying is pointless for him: with another woman he would have to be a man — lead, pursue, be an equal — and that is exactly what he came to your feet to escape. He needs to submit, and he cannot submit to a stranger: she has no power over him, because power isn’t a scene — it’s years, a key, and your right to refuse. An ordinary husband cheats to feel like a man. Yours doesn’t need that feeling — he gave it up with you, and yours is the only place where it is taken off him legitimately. So the freer you are, the more faithful he is: you are the only woman before whom he is allowed to be who he is. Power lives in that asymmetry: give him the same freedom and you lose it at once; the relationship turns equal on the spot.

So from his side you risk nothing. Secret infidelity wounds because the other person finds out last; here he finds out first — from you, because you decided so — and it arouses him instead of wounding him. Notice that the word “cheating” doesn’t even apply here — you cheat on an equal. His fidelity is guaranteed twice: by the lock, and by the fact that the only thing he needs from life is you, happy. That is how you get what an ordinary marriage never offers: freedom without guilt, and a husband who becomes more devoted because of it. Other wives get asked “where were you?”. You get asked “Mistress, was it good?”.

Marriages don’t fall apart because of relationships like this. They fall apart from boredom — when both know every evening in advance; from fantasies that go unspoken for years until they go stale or find an outlet on the side; from a woman ceasing to feel wanted — not because someone took it away, but because no one ever asked. Infidelity in such marriages is not the cause but the diagnosis.
